The software application IDIS has been specifically designed to manage sensitive data involved in the issuance of secure ID document such as e-Passport and National ID Cards. It’s based on a client/server architecture, where the server will provide the management of security quantities, of digital signatures and of those data preparation activities that are used by the different issuance stations [client].
The extremely modular and flexible architecture of IDIS has been conceived to be compliant to different technical specifications, related both to security and operational issues, which are needed to issue governmental ID documents. In particular, the wide versatility of the application makes possible many different configurations, on the one hand conforming to the requirements of any e-document issuance according to current regulations, on the other hand interfacing to data capture, printing and testing devices.
Furthermore, IDIS can be integrated with centralized registry databases in order to manage citizens’ credentials.
