The requirements to enhance security features of governmental documents like birth certificates, car registrations, visa and stocks are growing rapidly. Watermarks, Intaglio, UV-and IR-printing, hot stamping of holograms and secure numbering are just a few features to secure these important documents. The complete monitoring of these documents during manufacturing and printing and personalization is extremely important to prevent fraud and counterfeiting. Otto Künnecke has developed a new modular system which perfectly fits to fulfil these requirements, the Document Inspection Sorting System DISS.
The perfect solution for a high demand for secure and automatic quality control and packaging of high secure products, this new system controls the security elements of the printed documents in an automatic process. Documents with missing or defected security elements are automatically rejected, while correct documents are transported into the sorting unit where they can be selectively grouped. A packing list and a transport label can be optionally attached to each group. Various additional modules are also available, e.g. hot stamping of holograms, ink-jet printing, packaging.
In order to allow reporting and to enhance process control, the DISS records the processed data of each single document and can be connected to the Customer’s network.
